Secret fishing spots revealed on the Fishing Forum Stage!

If you’re a keen angler, or even if you’re an amateur fisherman, you’ll want to be at the Fishing Forum stage at the Club Marine SA Boat & Fishing Show this year!

The Fishing Forum features a cast of presenters on stage offering their best fishing tips, travel info, new product info and more.

And one of the presenters is the Show’s special guest Paul Worsteling from TV’s Ifish!

Paul loves fishing in South Australia. He said while fishing in SA is mostly about catching big snapper, whiting and kingfish, he has a few tips on catching other species depending on where you go.

We asked Paul about some of his fishing adventures in South Australia, and he had plenty of stories to share.

“One of my favourite places to fish in South Australia is Port Lincoln. You have to take a plane to get there but it’s worth it,” he said.

“This is where you’ll catch the biggest king fish in the world!”

“You’ll catch snapper land based – which is pretty rare – and huge mulloway off the beach.”

“Sand whiting on poppers, southern blue fin tune – it’s amazing fishing in Port Lincoln,” said Paul.

And then he remembered another spot.

“There’s this awesome spot (…that I always forget the name of!) which is Marion Bay. You can drive there from Adelaide and the fishing is epic!” he said.

The biggest King George Whiting ever! Huge Samson fish, huge Nannygai. You’ll catch salmon off the beach and calamari off the pier…” he went on.

“It’s one of the best places in South Australia to fish and I always head there when I get a chance.”

Paul likes nothing more than sharing his fishing stories and tips, and said if visitors to the Show want to find out more about the best fishing spots in SA, he’s more than happy to share his tips!

The Fishing Forum Stage will also have plenty of other tips from local anglers, so make sure you grab a seat and take notes!
